- RequiredNo hard training for 24 hours and no exercise in the 3 hours before
- Strongly recommendedWear clothing you can move, balance and squat in, with flat supportive shoes
- Food
- Eat normally — a light meal 2–3 hours before. Do not arrive fasted.
- Hydration
- Arrive normally hydrated.
- Exercise
- Avoid hard training in the 24 hours before and no exercise in the 3 hours before — fatigue changes movement quality and would misrepresent your normal pattern.
- Caffeine / stimulants
- Normal routine; avoid excess in the 3 hours before.
- Alcohol
- No alcohol in the 24 hours before.
- Medication
- Take your prescribed medication as normal. Tell the test leader what you have taken and when, as some medication (for example beta-blockers, asthma inhalers, antihistamines) changes heart rate or breathing and must be recorded with your results. Do not change or stop medication for a test.
- Clothing
- Shorts or leggings and a fitted top, with flat supportive shoes. We need to see how your hips, knees and spine move.
- Arrival
- Arrive 10 minutes early so we can take your history calmly before starting.
- Other
- Tell us about any injury, surgery or joint replacement before you start so we can adapt or skip a task safely. A skipped task is recorded as not performed — never as zero. Cancellation and rescheduling: cancel free of charge with more than 72 hours' notice (full refund). Reschedule free of charge with more than 48 hours' notice. Inside 48 hours the appointment is treated as a late cancellation and the fee is not refundable, because the lab slot, technician and consumables are reserved for you.
What to bring: Comfortable clothing you can move freely in, flat supportive shoes, and a list of any current or past injuries.
